Are you RCPL’s next Teen Idol?

Prove it by singing in RCPL’s vocal competition just for teens. The quest to become the next Teen Idol starts now.

Auditions:  Sunday, August 28^th (must arrive between 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in order to secure audition time slot.)

Saturday, September 10^th (must arrive between 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in order to secure audition time slot.)

Run – through             Saturday, October 22, 10:00 a.m.

RCPL Teen Idol            Thursday, October 27, 6:30 p.m.

Contestants are judged on vocal quality, song selection, projection and stage presence, and they will compete for the chance to win a variety of prizes.

Details:

* Song performed at final show must be the same song performed at audition. Please bring a copy of song to audition.  This copy will not be returned. Song must not be longer than 4 minutes.

*All participants must be between 12 – 18 years of age.

*RCPL reserves the right to deny participation at its discretion.

*All participants must provide their own music without lyrics on CD (not to be returned) along with completed registration form(will be available at auditions) at the time of audition. 

All participants must sing to CD accompaniment or a cappella.  No instruments will be allowed.  CD accompaniment may include background vocal tracks, but no accompaniment will be included with lead vocal tracks.

*All participants must be solo acts (no duets or multiple performers).

*Auditions will be videotaped to be used by preliminary judges.

*The list of the finalists will be posted online at www.myRCPL.com by Monday, October 3.
