Android phones and devices can be used as ereaders, and for listening to downloadable content.
eBooks
Get Set Up:
- Install OverDrive Media Console for Android, available for download at Android Market.
- visit myrcpl.lib.overdrive.com on your mobile browser or use the app’s “Get Books” function to set RCPL as your default library.
- Browse available eBooks (Fiction & Nonfiction)
- Find a title and click “Add to Cart”.
- Click “Proceed to Checkout” and enter your RCPL library card number and PIN.
- Click “Confirm Checkout”
- Click “Download”. The eBook will load into your OverDrive Media Console. You can choose to download it then or later.
- An Adobe ID is required to read eBooks on your Android. You will be prompted to enter your Adobe ID during your first book download. If you do not already have an Adobe ID, you can create one for free at the Adobe website.
