Back on Blossom Street
Submitted by Visitor on Thu, 05/28/2009 - 2:47pm
Review:
All of our previously met friends are still on Blossom Street, with the addition of Susannah Nelson, owner of Susannah's Garden. She has just hired Colette Blake, a young widow, to work with her in the flower shop. Together they join a knitting class at A Good Yarn, owned by Lydia Goetz. As they sit around learning to knit prayer shawls, we learn about the things going on in each of their lives. Alix's approaching wedding, Colette's past, and Margaret's concern about her daughter all come to light as the novel progresses. Readers who have not previously read the novels about Blossom Street may want to begin with the first book of the series, "The Shop on Blossom Street," but the novel will stand alone.
